SWAT – A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Swat and its surrounding areas on Friday, causing panic among residents.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the tremors were felt around midday, prompting people to rush out of homes and buildings in fear. The epicenter of the quake was reported in the Hindu Kush region, with a depth of 150 kilometers.
No casualties or property damage have been reported so far, but authorities are monitoring the situation closely. Residents have been urged to stay calm and follow safety precautions in case of aftershocks.
This region is part of an active seismic zone, and earthquakes of low to moderate intensity are frequent.
