Sydney – More than 40 protests were organized across Australia this week as thousands of demonstrators took to the streets to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Rallies were held in major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, where protesters waved Palestinian flags, carried placards, and chanted slogans calling for an end to violence in Gaza.
Organizers said the demonstrations aimed to raise global awareness about the humanitarian crisis and to pressure international leaders to push for a ceasefire.
Human rights groups in Australia also joined the movement, urging the government to take a stronger stance on the conflict and support peace initiatives in the Middle East.
Despite large crowds, the protests remained largely peaceful under close police monitoring.
