Islamabad, Pakistan – In a significant bust, customs officials at Islamabad International Airport intercepted a man attempting to smuggle 30 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices. The incident occurred on Friday as the man arrived on a flight from Dubai.
Customs authorities became suspicious of the traveler’s unusually heavy luggage, prompting a thorough inspection. Upon examination, officials discovered the high-value smartphones concealed within various compartments of his bags.
The total value of the confiscated iPhones is estimated to be around PKR 10 million. The man was taken into custody for further questioning, and legal proceedings are set to follow.
Officials emphasized the importance of combating smuggling activities that undermine local businesses and evade taxes. The airport has ramped up its surveillance and enforcement measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
