The Sindh government has launched a free Wi-Fi service across Karachi, aiming to enhance digital connectivity for its citizens. The initiative provides free internet access at key public locations, including educational institutions, parks, hospitals, and major marketplaces.
The project is part of the government’s efforts to promote digital inclusion and support online learning, business activities, and communication. Users can access the Wi-Fi service by registering their mobile numbers, ensuring secure and easy access for everyone.
Speaking at the launch event, Sindh IT Minister Syed Aminul Haque stated, “This initiative is a step toward making Karachi a digitally inclusive and modern city. Free internet access will empower citizens and facilitate their daily activities.”
The free Wi-Fi service has been welcomed by residents, particularly students and professionals, who see it as a valuable tool for enhancing productivity and connectivity in Pakistan’s largest metropolitan city.
