A powerful explosion rocked Balochistan’s border city of Chaman, leaving two people dead and several others injured. The blast occurred in a bustling market area, causing panic and chaos among locals.
Initial reports suggest that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted near a crowded shop. Rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene to assist victims and secure the area.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, where several are reported to be in critical condition. Security forces have cordoned off the site and launched an investigation to identify the culprits behind the attack.
“This is a tragic incident aimed at disrupting peace in the region. We are committed to bringing those responsible to justice,” said a senior police official.
Chaman, located near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, has witnessed several similar incidents in recent years, with militants often targeting civilians and security personnel.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
