In a major boost to the capital’s infrastructure, the Jinnah Avenue underpass has been completed in a record 42 days, far ahead of its projected timeline. The state-of-the-art underpass aims to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity in one of Islamabad’s busiest areas.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) spearheaded the project, which was inaugurated today by government officials. The underpass connects Jinnah Avenue to Sector G-7 and Sector G-8, facilitating smoother traffic flow for commuters traveling between these key sectors.
“This milestone demonstrates our commitment to delivering quality infrastructure at an unprecedented pace,” a CDA spokesperson stated. “The project was completed using modern techniques and under strict quality standards.”
Citizens have lauded the initiative, with many expressing relief at reduced traffic woes in the area.
The underpass is expected to handle a daily traffic load of over 30,000 vehicles, significantly reducing travel time and fuel consumption.
