The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has announced a significant change in its plans for the upcoming season, moving the highly anticipated PSL 10 draft ceremony from Gwadar to Lahore.
Initially scheduled to take place in the picturesque coastal city of Gwadar, the decision to relocate the event was made due to logistical challenges and the need for better accessibility for stakeholders, players, and media personnel.
The draft ceremony, a marquee event for cricket fans, will now be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on January 5, 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) promises an equally grand and vibrant experience in the heart of the country, ensuring fans remain captivated by the PSL spirit.
PCB Statement
A PCB spokesperson stated, “While Gwadar was our first choice due to its unique charm, we had to prioritize the logistical feasibility and the convenience of all involved. Lahore, being the cricket hub of Pakistan, will deliver an unforgettable event as we prepare for PSL 10.”
The PSL 10 draft will see all six franchises battle it out to secure top talent, with local and international players eagerly awaiting their picks. Fans are expected to witness an electrifying atmosphere as teams finalize their lineups for the landmark 10th season of the PSL.
