Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Police have successfully arrested a three-member gang of food delivery riders operating in the People’s Colony area. The arrest was made after the police used CCTV footage to track the suspects’ movements.
According to the police, the gang was caught in possession of arms and ammunition. Among the arrested were a woman and two men. The accused are believed to have been involved in a robbery that took place last night at Abdullah Bridge, where they targeted a food delivery boy.
In the past two and a half months, there have been a total of 11 reported incidents where food delivery boys were robbed, with some victims also having their food, money, and mobile phones stolen. The police have assured that they are intensifying efforts to prevent further such incidents and ensure the safety of delivery personnel.
