Lahore: In a major crackdown on disciplinary violations, over 100 policemen have been dismissed from service in Lahore for refusing to perform their assigned duties, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to police sources, the dismissed personnel failed to report for duty despite multiple warnings. The decision comes as part of an ongoing effort to enforce strict discipline within the Punjab police force.
Authorities emphasized that maintaining law and order is the top priority, and any negligence or defiance of duty will not be tolerated. The Lahore police department has also warned that further action will be taken against officers failing to fulfill their responsibilities.
This mass dismissal highlights the government’s firm stance on ensuring accountability within law enforcement agencies.
