Islamabad: The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Pakistan on his first official visit today, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
Upon arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, the Crown Prince was warmly received by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other high-ranking officials. A red-carpet welcome was extended, reflecting the close and historic relationship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Sheikh Khaled is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers, senior officials, and top business leaders. The visit aims to bolster economic, trade, and investment relations between Pakistan and the UAE, a key ally and one of Pakistan’s largest trading partners in the Middle East.
During his stay, the Crown Prince is expected to engage in discussions with Pakistan’s leadership on enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, technology, and defense. Several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are anticipated to be signed, further solidifying the partnership.
The UAE has been a crucial economic partner for Pakistan, with a significant Pakistani expatriate community contributing to both economies. The visit highlights the shared commitment of both countries to expanding their collaboration across multiple domains.
Sheikh Khaled’s visit is seen as a milestone in Pakistan-UAE relations, with hopes for increased investments, trade partnerships, and stronger diplomatic ties in the years ahead.
