LAHORE: Punjab Police have ramped up security measures for 36,500 mosques and worship places across the province to ensure the safety of citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to officials, a comprehensive security plan has been devised, deploying thousands of personnel at mosques, Imambargahs, and other religious sites. Special attention is being given to high-risk areas, with additional security layers, including surveillance cameras, walkthrough gates, and bomb disposal squads on high alert.
To maintain law and order, police have also intensified patrolling, snap-checking, and intelligence-based operations. Citizens are urged to cooperate with security forces and report any suspicious activities to ensure a peaceful and secure Ramadan.
