Islamabad: The Pakistan Day parade, traditionally held with full military and national fervor on March 23, will be conducted on a limited scale this year due to the ongoing month of Ramadan.
According to official sources, the event, which showcases the country’s military strength and cultural diversity, will be scaled down out of respect for fasting individuals and the religious significance of the holy month. The parade, usually attended by top government officials, military leaders, and foreign dignitaries, will take place with fewer participants and reduced ceremonial activities.
Pakistan Day, observed annually on March 23, commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940, which laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan. While the traditional parade is a highlight of the celebrations, authorities have decided to hold a more restrained event this year, keeping in mind the spiritual and physical demands of Ramadan.
