Jeddah, March 20, 2025 – Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and defense.
During the high-level meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening economic ties, with Saudi Arabia expressing interest in expanding investment opportunities in Pakistan. Discussions also focused on regional security, counterterrorism efforts, and the evolving geopolitical landscape.
PM Shehbaz lauded Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan, particularly in economic and developmental projects. The leaders also discussed Pakistan’s role in the Middle East Green Initiative and other climate-related collaborations.
The visit highlights Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations with Saudi Arabia amid ongoing economic challenges. Both sides expressed optimism about future cooperation, emphasizing mutual goals for stability and prosperity in the region.
