Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — In a heartwarming move, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government has announced that it will sponsor the Hajj pilgrimage for 17 deserving laborers from the province. This initiative is part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to recognize and honor the contributions of the labor force, who often work tirelessly without much recognition.
The decision was revealed by the provincial government in a statement on Friday, citing the importance of rewarding those who contribute to the development of society through their hard work. The selected laborers, who were chosen based on merit and their long-standing contributions, will be granted free Hajj packages, covering all expenses for their pilgrimage to Mecca.
Speaking about the initiative, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said, “Our labor force plays a crucial role in the development of the province. By offering them the chance to perform Hajj, we are not only fulfilling a religious duty but also showing appreciation for their immense contribution to our economy and society.”
The announcement has been met with widespread praise from both the labor community and the general public, who see it as a positive step towards improving the lives of the working class.
The KPK government’s decision also highlights the growing trend of provincial governments in Pakistan taking initiatives that directly benefit their citizens, especially those in the labor sector.
