Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has unequivocally stated that Balochistan can never be separated from Pakistan, strongly rejecting any propaganda to the contrary.
Speaking at the “Hilal Talks 2025” program, which brought together a large gathering of educators from across the country, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry emphasized that Balochistan is an integral part of Pakistan’s economy, culture, and national identity. “Balochistan can never be separated from Pakistan,” he declared, adding, “It is deeply connected to our economy, culture, and identity. We are all Pakistanis, united and inseparable.”
The DG ISPR asserted that there is no ideological basis for terrorism in Balochistan, attributing the unrest primarily to foreign-sponsored efforts aimed at undermining Pakistan’s progress. He specifically highlighted India as the primary sponsor of terrorism in the province, accusing it of providing financial backing, training, and even medical treatment to terrorist groups like the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which he referred to as “Fitna-e-Hindustan.” He stated that the leadership of the BLA is based in India and that Indian agencies use Afghanistan as a base of operations for these activities.
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry underscored that these terrorists are not fighting for any just cause but are rather “enemies of the people of Balochistan and their future.” He expressed confidence that Balochistan has immense potential and would one day become the richest province of Pakistan.
He also reaffirmed that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and will always remain so, stressing that there should be no doubt about this stance. The DG ISPR concluded by highlighting the enduring bond between the people and the armed forces, stating, “The Pakistan Armed Forces are the people’s army — there is no distance between them. From fighting polio to battling terrorists, the military stands with the people on every front.”
