As over 2 million pilgrims from 180 countries gather in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025, the Kingdom has unveiled groundbreaking technological advancements—including artificial intelligence and real-time translation tools—to make the sacred journey more accessible and inclusive than ever before.
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has integrated AI-powered systems and multilingual support at key pilgrimage sites, ensuring that non-Arabic-speaking pilgrims can easily navigate rituals, receive guidance, and access vital information in their native languages.
From smart robots assisting with directions and fatwas to apps offering real-time translation in over 25 languages, the initiative is being hailed as a major leap toward a more seamless and spiritually enriching Hajj experience.
“This is the future of Hajj,” said a ministry spokesperson. “We are using technology to honor tradition—making sure every pilgrim, regardless of nationality or language, feels connected, informed, and supported.”
