Ayesha Habib, a brilliant young aerospace engineer from Lahore, has made history by becoming the first Pakistani ever selected for South Korea’s prestigious space training program, a major milestone for Pakistan’s presence in global space exploration.
Chosen by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) under its elite Space Future Leaders Program, Ayesha stood out among thousands of international applicants due to her academic excellence, innovation in aerospace research, and passion for advancing space science.
“This is not just my achievement—it’s a victory for every Pakistani girl who dares to dream big,” Ayesha shared. “I’m proud to represent Pakistan in this global space initiative and hope to pave the way for more talent from our country.”
Ayesha will undergo advanced training in satellite systems, zero-gravity simulations, and future space mission planning. The program is designed to prepare young scientists for potential lunar and Mars missions over the next decade.
Her selection has been hailed by Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), which called it a “landmark moment” and expressed hopes for future collaboration with international space agencies.
