Lahore — Director General of the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) announced on Saturday that rivers across Punjab have returned to normal levels with the conclusion of the monsoon season.
The DG PDMA said continuous monitoring had been carried out throughout the rainy spell, and timely measures by the administration helped prevent major flooding in vulnerable districts.
“Thanks to coordinated efforts and early warnings, we managed to minimize risks and ensure the safety of communities living near riverbanks,” he noted.
Authorities have advised citizens to remain cautious in low-lying areas but assured that no significant threat of flooding remains at present.
