Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has rejected India’s request to hand over the Asia Cup trophy, asserting that the trophy belongs to Pakistan as the rightful champions. According to PCB officials, Naqvi made it clear that the board will not entertain any such demand from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The statement comes amid rising tensions between the two cricket boards, with disputes already ongoing over venues, scheduling, and hosting rights for regional tournaments. PCB sources added that the matter has been closed and Pakistan’s stance on the trophy remains “non-negotiable.”
