Pakistan’s women’s cricket team made history by bowling out India for the first time ever in a Women’s One-Day International. The breakthrough came in their ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 match in Colombo.
India were dismissed for 247 runs in 50 overs, with Diana Baig starring for Pakistan, taking 4 wickets for 69 runs. Nashra Sandhu and Fatima Sana also struck at key moments to keep India under pressure.
Indian batter Harleen Deol top-scored with 46, but none could convert starts into big innings as Pakistan’s bowlers dominated from start to finish.
Captain Nida Dar praised her team’s effort, calling it “a proud moment for Pakistan cricket.” Diana Baig said the achievement was “a dream come true,” especially against their arch-rivals.
This marks the first-ever time Pakistan women have dismissed India completely in an ODI match — a milestone that reflects the team’s growing confidence and improvement on the world stage.
Next, Pakistan will look to carry their winning spirit into their upcoming World Cup fixtures.
