A massive Gaza Solidarity Rally was held in Karachi, where tens of thousands of people gathered to show support for the Palestinian people amid ongoing violence and humanitarian crises in Gaza. Organized by various political and religious groups, the rally turned the city’s main roads into a sea of Palestinian flags, banners, and chants for freedom.
Speakers at the rally strongly condemned Israel’s continuous bombardment of Gaza and the silence of international powers. They called on Muslim-majority countries to unite politically and economically to pressure Israel to end its occupation and blockade.
Participants carried placards reading “Free Palestine”, “Stop the Genocide”, and “Boycott Israeli Products”. The event also included prayers for the victims in Gaza and speeches emphasizing the humanitarian nature of the Palestinian cause.
Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, addressing the crowd, declared that the people of Pakistan stand firmly with Palestine, rejecting all forms of normalization with Israel.
“The people of Gaza are not alone. Karachi, and all of Pakistan, stands with them. We will continue raising our voices for justice and freedom,” he said.
Human rights activists and representatives from student and civil society groups also attended, urging the global community to impose sanctions on Israel and support immediate humanitarian aid for Gaza.
The rally concluded peacefully, with participants lighting candles and waving Palestinian flags as a symbol of hope and resistance.
