Islamabad, October 6, 2025 — The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and snowfall in various parts of the country over the next few days, as a new westerly weather system enters the northern and western regions.
According to the PMD, rainfall is expected in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan, while snowfall is likely in the upper areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The weather system is expected to bring moderate to heavy rain in some areas, which could cause a drop in temperatures and disrupt travel in mountainous regions. Authorities have advised tourists and residents in northern areas to exercise caution due to the possibility of landslides and slippery roads.
The PMD added that the rain spell is likely to continue until Wednesday, after which conditions are expected to gradually improve across most regions.
