ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, has issued a strong warning that any direct or indirect border violation will be met with a firm and decisive response.
Speaking during a high-level security briefing at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the Army Chief emphasized that while Pakistan remains committed to peace and regional stability, the armed forces are fully prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any form of aggression.
He stated that the Pakistan Army’s restraint should not be mistaken for weakness and reaffirmed the military’s readiness to respond effectively to any provocation or incursion.
The statement comes amid growing regional tensions and security challenges along Pakistan’s borders. General Munir underscored that Pakistan’s defense posture is based on deterrence and national resolve, warning that any misadventure would invite a swift and decisive military reaction.
He further reiterated the armed forces’ commitment to ensuring internal stability and continuing counterterrorism operations to protect citizens and maintain peace within the country.
