In a tragic incident today, a suicide attack on a military convoy in the Jani Khel area of Bannu district resulted in the loss of nine Pakistani Army soldiers, with five others sustaining injuries. The attack was carried out by a motorcycle-borne suicide bomber who detonated explosives near the military convoy.
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack occurred in the general vicinity of Jani Khel, Bannu district. Naib Subedar Sanobar Ali was among the nine brave soldiers who embraced Shahadat (martyrdom), while five other soldiers were injured during the explosion.
In response to the incident, security forces have cordoned off the affected area, launching sanitization operations to eliminate any remaining threats posed by terrorists.
