In a major development for travelers, Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flyadeal has officially launched direct flights to Lahore, expanding its network to meet the rising demand for travel between the two countries.
According to the airline’s announcement, the new direct route will operate several times a week, providing passengers with affordable and convenient travel options between Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport and major Saudi cities including Jeddah and Riyadh.
The inaugural flight was warmly received at Lahore airport, where officials from Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) and Flyadeal representatives attended a brief ceremony marking the occasion.
A Flyadeal spokesperson stated, “Pakistan is one of our key markets, and Lahore is a vibrant city with a strong travel connection to Saudi Arabia. We are proud to offer more affordable and direct options for families, workers, and visitors.”
The launch of the new flights is expected to boost tourism, business, and labor mobility, as thousands of Pakistanis travel to Saudi Arabia each year for employment and religious purposes.
Flyadeal, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia), has rapidly expanded across the Middle East, positioning itself as one of the region’s fastest-growing budget carriers.
Industry experts see this development as a positive step in strengthening Saudi-Pakistani ties and enhancing regional connectivity under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative.
