The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced that petrol prices will remain unchanged, while the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 6 per litre starting this week.
According to OGRA’s notification, the new diesel price reflects recent fluctuations in international crude oil rates and is expected to affect transportation and logistics costs across the country. Petrol, however, will continue to be sold at the current rate, offering some relief to motorists.
Industry experts have warned that the diesel price increase could lead to higher prices for essential goods, as transport costs rise. The government has stated it will continue to monitor global oil trends and may revise fuel prices again in the coming weeks based on market conditions.
The move comes amid ongoing economic pressures, with citizens urged to plan their fuel consumption accordingly.
