Lahore — Punjab has announced a fresh wave of development-focused investments, highlighted by the launch of a 420-bus public transport project and several large-scale industrial expansion initiatives aimed at boosting employment and improving regional connectivity.
According to provincial officials, the bus project will introduce modern, fuel-efficient vehicles across major cities, significantly enhancing urban mobility. The new fleet is expected to reduce congestion, cut travel times, and provide safer transportation options to millions of commuters.
In parallel, Punjab’s latest industrial strategy includes the establishment of new manufacturing zones, incentives for foreign investors, and upgrades to existing industrial estates. The government says these steps will generate thousands of jobs and strengthen regional economic output.
Officials emphasize that this investment drive is part of a broader plan to modernize infrastructure, attract long-term industry partners, and position Punjab as a leading economic hub in South Asia.
