Lahore – Residents of four Bahria Town projects in Lahore have been left without electricity following the accumulation of unpaid electricity bills amounting to Rs 682 million. The blackout has affected thousands of households and commercial establishments, causing widespread inconvenience.
According to local utility officials, the power supply was disconnected after repeated warnings to the housing society to settle outstanding dues went unheeded. Authorities have urged Bahria Town management to clear the pending bills immediately to restore electricity services.
Residents have expressed frustration over the lack of prior notice and the disruption to daily life, highlighting issues with essential services in the area. The housing society management has not yet provided a timeline for resolving the power outage.
This incident raises concerns over financial management and accountability in large private housing projects, as residents continue to bear the brunt of administrative delays.
