Islamabad – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that starting 1st January, all vehicles entering Islamabad must have a valid M-Tag. Vehicles without this electronic tag will not be allowed entry into the city.
The move is part of the government’s efforts to modernize traffic management, reduce congestion, and enhance security across the capital. Authorities have urged vehicle owners to obtain their M-Tags in advance to avoid fines or denial of entry.
CDA officials emphasized that the M-Tag system will also facilitate automatic toll collection and traffic monitoring, making commuting smoother for residents and visitors alike.
