Karak District: Several parts of Karak district experienced heavy snowfall, a phenomenon not witnessed for nearly two decades. The rural localities in Jandri union council, including areas like Jandri, Speena, Palosasar, and Sabirabad, were covered in six to 10 inches of snow during a one-hour snowfall from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Motorists and passengers on the Peshawar-Karachi Highway took a pause to enjoy the rare snowfall. This event brought back memories of the last significant snowfall in 1990 and 2004.
Anticipating potential disruptions, the district administration dispatched a team to supervise traffic flow on the busy highway and implement measures to prevent any untoward incidents.
Swabi’s Beer Gali: In Swabi, the Beer Gali region of Gadoon Amazai experienced its first-ever recorded snowfall on Saturday night and Sunday. Located 64 kilometers away from the district headquarters, Beer Gali attracted visitors eager to enjoy the natural beauty and scenic environment, surrounded by green mountains.
The unexpected snowfall in both Karak and Swabi districts has delighted locals and visitors alike, offering a picturesque and rare winter spectacle.
