In a move aimed at providing relief to consumers, the Utility Stores Corporation has announced a significant reduction in the price of subsidized ghee. Effective immediately, consumers across the board will benefit from this price adjustment.
A spokesperson for the Corporation revealed that the price of subsidized ghee has been decreased by Rs18 per kilogram. This means that beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will now have access to ghee at the reduced rate of Rs375 per kilogram.
Moreover, the price cut extends to general consumers as well. They will now pay Rs445 per kilogram, down from the previous rate of Rs463/kg.
