In the first quarter of 2024, TikTok has revealed its robust enforcement measures in Pakistan, removing over 20.2 million videos that violated community guidelines. According to their latest transparency report, an impressive 93.9% of these violations were addressed within 24 hours of being flagged.
Globally, TikTok proactively tackled 99.8% of violations detected on its platform during this period. This extensive effort resulted in the removal of a staggering 166,997,307 videos, largely facilitated by advanced automated detection systems.
In addition to video content, TikTok also took stringent measures against inappropriate comments, removing 976,479,946 comments using safety tools. Furthermore, the platform deactivated 21,639,414 accounts suspected of belonging to underage users.
TikTok emphasized its commitment to creating a safe and inclusive online environment through consistent enforcement of community guidelines. The report underscores TikTok’s approach of combining technology and human oversight to efficiently moderate content, ensuring fairness and transparency in its operations worldwide.
