In Karachi, thousands of mourners participated in a procession that started from Nishtar Park and concluded at Husainia Iranian in Kharadar. Similar scenes unfolded in Lahore, where the main procession commenced from Nisar Haveli in Mochi Gate and ended at Karbala Gamay Shah. Processions in Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta also drew substantial participation, reflecting the widespread observance of Ashura.
Security Measures:
To ensure the safety of participants, rigorous security measures were implemented. Mobile phone services were suspended in sensitive areas of Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, and other cities where processions took place. In Karachi, additional restrictions included a ban on double riding on motorcycles, the display of weapons, and the use of drones and helicopters.

Yesterday, on the ninth day of Muharram, similar processions were held across the country. In Karachi, the main procession concluded at Husainia Iranian in Kharadar, accompanied by strict security arrangements and mobile phone service suspensions along the route.

Prominent religious figures such as Allama Shahanshah Hussain Naqvi addressed gatherings in Karachi, emphasizing the enduring lessons of sacrifice from the Battle of Karbala. In Lahore, mourners gathered at Pandu Street, reciting elegies and reflecting on the legacy of Imam Hussain.
Mobile and Internet Restrictions:
In several cities, including Jacobabad and Sukkur, mobile phone and internet services were temporarily suspended on Sunday for security reasons. Partial suspensions were also reported in Peshawar and Quetta, with services restored later in the evening.
