The Sindh Transport Department has introduced a new electric bus route in Karachi called “EV-4.” This 55-kilometer route will connect Super Highway to Numaish Chowrangi, passing through areas like Dumba Goth, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sohrab Goth, and Al-Asif Square.
The EV-4 route aims to make travel easier for people living in Ayesha Manzil, Lalukhait, and Teen Hatti. The launch event was attended by PPP MPAs Raja Abdul Razzaq and Sajid Jokhio, and was overseen by Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon.
Minister Memon said the new route will help local economies, lower travel costs, and ease traffic. He also mentioned that more electric buses and routes will be added in the future.
Earlier, the Sindh Transport Department announced new routes for the Peoples Bus Service. Starting July 22, a new route will run from Hawksbay to Tower, and Route 12 will be extended. From July 23, new services will replace the Khokhrapar route, running from Qaidabad, Korangi, and Memon Goth to Tower.
