According to a recent statement from Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), a gas pipeline leak is anticipated to reduce gas pressure in several regions of Sindh and Balochistan. The leak was identified in the Gambat GPF IV feeder line, which is a key supply route for SSGC.
The company reported a shortfall of 38 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) in the gas supply system due to the leak. Current demand from industrial customers stands at approximately 130-140 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd), while future demand is projected to be between 80-100 mmscfd.
SSGC has indicated that Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has dispatched a repair team to address the issue. The repair work is expected to be completed within the next 20 hours.
As a result of the leak, residents in certain areas of Sindh and Balochistan may experience reduced gas pressure during this period.
