In a noteworthy development for Pakistan’s automotive market, the Suzuki Alto has been crowned the best-selling car for July 2024. This achievement comes amidst a broader surge in the country’s auto sales, which saw an impressive year-on-year increase of 68.7%, with 8,589 units sold compared to 5,092 units in the same month last year, as reported by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).
Despite this significant yearly growth, the auto market experienced a monthly decline of 35.3% from June’s robust sales of 13,284 units. Nevertheless, passenger car sales exhibited a notable year-on-year increase of 58.2%, reaching 5,857 units compared to 3,702 units in July 2023.
Additionally, production of passenger cars has surged by 89.6% year-on-year in August, climbing to 6,632 units from 3,498 units a year prior.
