The Parliament House in Islamabad is grappling with a severe pest problem, as mice have been damaging important files and becoming increasingly active during the night. The situation has prompted swift action from the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
To address the growing issue, the CDA has allocated over 1.2 million rupees to combat the infestation. Among the planned measures, hunter cats will be brought in to control the mice population, and special netted barriers will be installed throughout the premises.
Additionally, the CDA will involve private sector services to manage the situation in the Senate and National Assembly secretariats. This comprehensive approach aims to restore order and safeguard the integrity of the Parliament House’s operations.
