KABUL (12 Oct 2025) — The Afghan government has reportedly requested Pakistan to halt heavy retaliatory strikes along the shared border, following a surge in cross-border tensions between the two countries.
According to regional media reports, Afghan officials have urged Islamabad to exercise restraint and seek diplomatic channels to resolve the escalating situation.
Pakistan’s recent military response came after unprovoked aggression from Afghan forces, which led to intense border clashes over the past few days.
Officials in Islamabad have yet to issue an official statement regarding Afghanistan’s reported request, but defense sources maintain that Pakistan’s actions were purely in self-defense and aimed at protecting national sovereignty.
