Pakistan’s aviation industry welcomed a new entrant as Air Karachi, the country’s newest private airline, officially launched operations this week. The airline promises to offer reliable, affordable, and comfortable air travel, with a focus on connecting major cities and underserved regional destinations.
At the launch ceremony held in Karachi, company officials announced that Air Karachi’s initial flight operations will cover key domestic routes including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, and Skardu, with plans to expand to international destinations in the near future.
Speaking at the event, the airline’s CEO said, “Our vision is to make air travel accessible to every Pakistani while ensuring world-class service and safety standards. Air Karachi will redefine the flying experience with modern aircraft, professional crew, and digital convenience for passengers.”
Industry experts see the launch as a positive sign for Pakistan’s aviation sector, which has faced challenges due to limited competition and rising operational costs. The entry of Air Karachi is expected to boost market competitiveness, create jobs, and improve service quality.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) confirmed that Air Karachi has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and met all regulatory requirements to begin commercial flights.
With growing demand for domestic air travel, Air Karachi’s debut could mark the beginning of a new era in Pakistan’s private aviation landscape.
