All Banks in Pakistan to Close on September 17 for Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW)

Public Holiday Declared for September 17 as Eid Miladun Nabi Observed, Banks to Remain Closed

In a recent announcement, the Ruet Committee Chairman has confirmed that the moon for Rabiul Awwal was not sighted on Wednesday, thus shifting the celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) to September 17, 2024 (Tuesday). As a result, all banks in Pakistan will be closed on this date.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is expected to issue an official notice regarding the nationwide bank closure in the coming days. Initially anticipated for September 16 (Monday), the observance of Eid Miladun Nabi will now fall on September 17.

This public holiday marks an important occasion for Muslims, providing a day for spiritual renewal and a reminder to uphold the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in their daily lives.
