Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid glowing tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his birth anniversary, calling him a visionary Islamic thinker whose philosophy continues to guide the Muslim world toward unity, self-reliance, and revival.
In his message on Iqbal Day, the Prime Minister said that Iqbal’s teachings remain deeply relevant in today’s world, especially at a time when divisions and challenges confront Muslim nations. “Allama Iqbal’s dream was not limited to Pakistan alone,” said Shehbaz. “He envisioned a united and awakened Muslim Ummah, standing together for justice,
knowledge, and progress.”
Highlighting Iqbal’s enduring influence, the Prime Minister urged the nation to follow his message of faith, discipline, and hard work, the same principles that inspired the creation of Pakistan. He added that Iqbal’s poetry serves as a spiritual and intellectual compass, guiding youth toward self-awareness and collective responsibility.
Shehbaz Sharif also emphasized the importance of education and unity among Muslim countries, saying that only through cooperation and knowledge can the Ummah reclaim its rightful place in the world.
The nation observed Iqbal Day with seminars, exhibitions, and special programs to honor the Poet of the East, whose words continue to inspire generations across Pakistan and beyond.
