Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates, made a significant mark on Monday as he inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the World Trade Centre Dubai. This event, organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), showcased the best of Pakistani products, particularly focusing on the food industry.
During the opening ceremony, Ambassador Tirmizi toured the various stalls, engaging with Pakistani exhibitors and discussing the potential for expanding trade ties. The Press Counsellor of Pakistan in Dubai highlighted the ambassador’s active involvement, mentioning his discussions with the media after the inauguration.
Ambassador Tirmizi emphasized the presence of nearly a hundred Pakistani companies in the food sector, signaling a positive trend in Pakistan’s export capabilities. He specifically pointed out the substantial increase in exports, particularly in rice and meat, compared to the previous year.
Expressing satisfaction with his interactions with the organizers and TDAP representatives, Ambassador Tirmizi underlined Pakistan’s recent entry into markets in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted Pakistan’s status as the third-largest milk-producing country globally and commended the participation of Pakistani dairy producers in events like Gulfood.
In his statements to the media, Ambassador Tirmizi stressed the pivotal role of exports in Pakistan’s economic growth. He called upon Pakistani businessmen and growers to concentrate on boosting exports, citing their crucial contribution to the economy.
The Pakistan Pavilion at the World Trade Centre Dubai stands not only as a display of quality products but also as a symbol of the growing economic ties between Pakistan and the UAE, fostering a path towards further collaboration and trade expansion.
