Armenia has reportedly suspended its $1.2 billion Tejas fighter jet deal with India, following concerns raised after a recent jet crash during the Dubai Airshow.
According to regional defence analysts, Armenian officials have paused further progress on the agreement and requested additional safety assessments, performance data, and technical clarifications before moving forward.
The suspension does not indicate cancellation, but sources say Armenia wants to re-evaluate operational risks and ensure the aircraft fully meets its air-force requirements.
Indian defence representatives maintain that the Tejas program remains strong and that the aircraft continues to perform successfully in multiple trials.
The situation is expected to develop as both countries engage in further discussions.
