Rawalpindi, August 15, 2024 — The Army Chief will host a special ceremony tomorrow at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to honor gold medalist Arshad Nadeem and his family. The event is designed to acknowledge and celebrate Nadeem’s exceptional achievements in athletics.
A spokesperson for the Army stated that Arshad Nadeem has not only met but exceeded the nation’s expectations, bringing immense pride to Pakistan. The ceremony aims to recognize his accomplishments and inspire the country’s youth to excel in sports.
In addition to the GHQ ceremony, Maulana Tariq Jamil will host a dinner in honor of Nadeem, further celebrating his Olympic success.
Nadeem was also recently showered with accolades at an Independence Day event held at the Governor House, where he was praised for his contributions to Pakistan’s sporting legacy. In a gesture of lasting tribute, an Islamabad road will be named after Arshad Nadeem to commemorate his remarkable achievements and ongoing influence on the nation’s athletic spirit.
