Ace cricketer Babar Azam recently had fans worried after he posted about losing his cell phone, only for it to later be revealed as a marketing stunt.
Earlier, Babar took to his social media accounts, informing followers:
“I have lost my phone and contacts. Will get back to everyone as soon as I find it.”
Concerned fans flooded the comments with reassurances and support. However, five days later, the former Pakistan skipper put all speculation to rest by posting an advertisement, confirming that his phone had been “found”—when in reality, it was never lost.
“Phone mil gaya, and all your worries are greatly appreciated! 😂,” Babar wrote on X (formerly Twitter), leaving fans with mixed reactions.
While some were amused by the stunt, others criticized it, urging Babar to focus on his cricketing form ahead of upcoming major tournaments.
