In a significant development for healthcare in Balochistan, Secretary Health Balochistan, Asfand yar Kakar, and President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP), Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, came together in Quetta to deliberate on the crucial aspects of the health department and various health issues affecting the province. This gathering saw the participation of all members of CPSP, demonstrating a collective commitment to improving healthcare in the region.
As part of this collaboration, a seminar was organized to coincide with CPSP President Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal’s visit to Quetta. During the seminar, both parties enthusiastically agreed to strengthen their partnership, focusing on the enhanced provision of health facilities in Balochistan. The discussion also highlighted the importance of boosting technical support for Makran Medical College and Jhalavan Medical College, key institutions in the region.
One of the central points of emphasis was the training of Postgraduates (PGs) and doctors, with a shared goal of enhancing the quality of medical professionals in Balochistan. Secretary Health, Asfand yar Kakar, acknowledged the challenges the province has faced in the past regarding healthcare. He emphasized that CPSP could play a pivotal role in the more efficient provision of healthcare services in Balochistan.
