In an unprecedented turn of events, the Karachi police have taken disciplinary action against a deputy constable, Abdul Qayyum, for allegedly practicing black magic on a senior superintendent of police (SSP) and his family. The shocking revelation came to light when SSP Saqib Ibrahim reported that Qayyum had engaged in illegal and immoral acts against him and his family using a “taweez ganda” (a type of black magic charm).
The SSP claimed that Qayyum had gone to the graveyard where the SSP’s deceased relatives, including his mother, are buried. There, he allegedly obtained their names and used them in the creation of the harmful charms. Qayyum then reportedly passed on the names to another deputy constable, Ghulam Murtaza, who facilitated the making of the taweez.
Upon investigation, Ghulam Murtaza confessed to his involvement in the sinister act, stating that he had acted on the instructions of Abdul Qayyum. Despite being issued show cause notices and summoned for an oral testimony, Qayyum’s responses were deemed unsatisfactory by authorities.
In his defense, Qayyum vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that he does not even believe in the practice of “taweez ganda.”
As a consequence of these disturbing allegations, the Karachi police have decided to penalize Qayyum by forfeiting two years of his service. Additionally, the order allows for the possibility of his transfer back to his hometown of Ghotki.
This bizarre incident has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about the presence of such practices within law enforcement agencies. The Karachi police have reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of misconduct or illegal activities among its ranks, vowing to uphold the integrity and professionalism of the force.
