Pakistan opening batter, Saim Ayub, has been ruled out of the second Test against South Africa due to an ankle injury.
Ayub twisted his right ankle while fielding in the first session of the match in Cape Town. While running alongside Aamir Jamal during a relay, Ayub lost his balance and fell, causing the injury. He was seen limping off the field with the help of his teammates.
Following the injury, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that Ayub would not participate further in the match.
The young left-handed batter underwent X-rays and MRI tests, with the reports being sent to specialists in London for further assessment on his treatment and recovery timeline.
