Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir conducted an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) this week, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.
During his significant visit, Gen Munir engaged in crucial discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, focusing on a spectrum of topics including mutual interests, regional peace, security measures, and bilateral defence and security cooperation.
The COAS also met with Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chief of General Staff (CGS) Saudi Armed Forces General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defence Engineer Talal Abdullah Al Otaibi, along with other senior military officials.
Highlighting the deep-rooted and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Crown Prince underscored the historic significance of their relationship, as relayed by the military’s media wing.
General Munir’s visit marks a pivotal moment in bolstering diplomatic bonds and addressing shared regional concerns between the two nations, setting a positive trajectory for enhanced cooperation moving forward.
