China has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan and expressed deep condolences to the victims, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday.
During a daily press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized China’s firm stance against terrorism. “China firmly opposes all forms of terrorism and will continue to support Pakistan in its counter-terrorism efforts, maintaining social unity and stability, and ensuring the safety of its people,” Lin stated.
The attacks, which occurred on Sunday night, targeted Pakistani security forces and police across multiple locations in Balochistan. The terrorists halted vehicles, killed innocent civilians, and destroyed infrastructure, including roads and railways.
“China is willing to further strengthen counter-terrorism and security cooperation with Pakistan to jointly safeguard regional peace and security,” Lin added.
Balochistan has experienced a surge in violence recently, with escalating incidents of targeted killings and militant attacks. On Sunday night, approximately 40 people lost their lives in one of the province’s most violent days, with incidents reported across various districts.
The deadliest attack occurred in Musakhail, where 23 passengers were executed after being forcibly removed from a bus. In Kalat, an assault on security forces claimed the lives of 10 individuals, including both civilians and military personnel.
In response, the Pakistani military launched operations, killing 21 terrorists and preventing a major attack in the Lasbela district.
China’s strong condemnation and commitment to further cooperation underscore the gravity of the situation and the importance of regional stability amidst escalating violence in Balochistan.
